LPI Exam Lab: Canakkale University, Turkey

During the fall academic term (October 2012-February 2013), computer engineering students of Canakkale University, Turkey were invited to participate in a training program on LPI-101 (one of two exams necessary for LPIC-1 certification).  Forty students participated in this training program delivered by Dr. Necdet YÜCEL, Instructor, of the University's Computer Engineering Department.

Following the training program on LPI-101, LPI-Turkey offered the exam to 21 people--half of which were graduate students of Canakkale University.  LPI-Turkey translated and sponsored the exam lab which took place on March 2, 2013. LPI-Turkey's managing partner, Endersys also paid exam fees for 11 of the exam candidates.

Successful candidates from this exam lab are now preparing for the LPI-102 exam which will be offered following the academic term which began in February 2013.  Other universities and academic organizations in Turkey are invited to contact LPI-Turkey to become involved in similar initiatives as has been undertaken with Canakkale University.  In addition, sponsors who would be willing to subsidize student exam fees are also invited to contact LPI-Turkey.
