LPI Launches Certified Solution Provider Program
(São Paulo, Brazil: September 2, 2010) - The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization, announced a new partner program for technical solution providers and IT service organizations who want to promote their skills and expertise in Free and Open Source Software solutions. The Linux Professional Institute Certified Solution Provider program (LPI-CSP) will be offered to prospective partners this year in Latin America, North America and Spain and in 2011 within other regions around the world. The LPI-CSP program is modeled after a successful initiative in LPI-Central Europe for solution providers and a similar long-standing LPI business partner program provided by LPI-Japan.
LPI Launches "Community Corner" with Jon "maddog" Hall

The blog--"Community Corner"(Community Corner)--will feature commentary and regular contributions from Jon "maddog" Hall, a widely recognized mentor and leader in the programming community and a longtime and respected champion of Free and Open Source Software. Mr. Hall is also Executive Director of Linux International.
LPI Hosts September Exam Labs at LinuxCon Brazil and Ohio LinuxFest 2010
(Sacramento, CA, USA: August 25, 2010) - The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization, announced promotional exam labs for their Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) at LinuxCon Brazil (São Paulo, Brazil, September 1, 2010) and Ohio Linux Fest (Columbus, Ohio, USA, September 12, 2010). This is LPI's second event as the exclusive Free and Open Source Software certification provider at LinuxCon and their fifth year as certification sponsor of the Ohio LinuxFest.
LPI Launches Enterprise-level "Virtualization" Exam
(Sacramento, USA, July 29, 2010) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization, launched the "Virtualization and High Availability" exam elective for their LPIC-3 certification program. The LPI-304 exam is the third available elective for LPI's enterprise-level LPIC-3 certification program for Linux professionals. Due to demand for this exam LPI will be hosting two special exam labs in August for this new release: FrOSCon 5 (Sankt Augustin, Germany) and LinuxCon Brazil (São Paulo, Brazil).
LPI Announces Volunteer Prizes and Community Initiatives

LPI Certification Exams Exceed 250,000 Worldwide

LPI and Government of Tunisia to certify IT graduates
(Tunis, Tunisia and Sacramento, CA, USA: June 17, 2010) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization, announced with the Ministry of Communication Technologies of Tunisia a program to train and certify young graduates in Linux and Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). The program was announced during the signing of a partnership agreement in Tunis, Tunisia with Ministry officials and LPI's affiliate in the region: LPI-Maghreb.

LPI and IOSN Introduce New Exam Proctor Program
(Sacramento, CA, USA: April 22, 2010) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization, announced a program of exam proctor training and exam labs undertaken with the cooperation of the International Open Source Network (IOSN). LPI's affiliate in Korea, LPI-Korea, undertook training of 19 new proctors from the nations of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, and Sri Lanka to be followed by local exam labs throughout the next year--commencing on May 1 and 22, 2010 with scheduled exam labs in the Philippines. The IOSN was formed in 2003 as a network of Asian Pacific centers of excellence and is a long time collaborator with LPI. The IOSN is based at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Regional Center in Bangkok, Thailand and this recent initiative with LPI was supported by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Aga Khan University .
