LPI features "new look" at LinuxWorld San Francisco (August 4-7, 2008)
Sacramento, USA: July 16, 2008) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization announced a new revised presence at LinuxWorld San Francisco (August 4 - 7, 2008) along with LPI's traditional and popular discounted exam sessions for their Linux certification program during the conference.
This year LPI will share an information kiosk with organizers of LinuxWorld Expo on the registration floor of the event at the Moscone Center. "We are pleased to be part of the initial conference delegate "welcome" area for LinuxWorld. This enhanced visibility recognizes LPI's leadership role amongst individual Linux professionals," said Jim Lacey, President and CEO of LPI. LPI alumni and new candidates are invited to visit LPI staff at the information kiosk and bring their LPI ID to receive an LPI "Tux" (Please note that there will be a limited supply of the LPI penguins. See our "Summer in San Francisco" webpage for an example of the LPI "Tux").
LPI exams during the conference will be complimentary for paid conference attendees (a $155 value) and at a 50% discount (just $75) for exhibit-only attendees. Complimentary exams and discounts are available on any single exam of LPIC-1, LPIC-2 and LP1-302 (the LPIC-3 exam, regularly priced at $255, will be available at $100).
All exam candidates must obtain an LPI ID and are asked to bring valid photo identification and their LPI-ID number to the exam labs. Payment for exams can be made by cash, cheque or credit card.
During LinuxWorld, exams will be in Room 236 of the Moscone Center on Wednesday, August 6th and Thursday, August 7th at 10:00 am and 2:30 pm. Interested candidates are asked to pre-register for the exams and indicate which exam they would like to take and at which available time slot.
