As a non-profit organization LPI relies on the efforts of numerous volunteers from around the world. To assist with this effort LPI also has staff and contractors who ensure the daily operations of the organization.
Jim Lacey (California, USA)
Jim is the former President and CEO of Bradford Learning Incorporated--one of the first organizations to provide LPI Approved Training Materials. Jim's experience is in managing and building international organizations with specific focus on channel development within the IT training and certification industry. Jim's past positions include: General Manager of Linuxcare University (Linuxcare Corporation), Director of Operations for the Technology Training division of CompUSA, Regional Training Director for the Ohio Valley for CompUSA and Territory Sales Manager with Serono Diagnostics. Jim graduated with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.
Gen Narui (Tokoyo, Japan) Gen is Chairman and founder of LPI-Japan. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Linux Professional Institute since 2000.
Jose Carlos Gouveia (Sao Paulo, Brazil) Jose Carlos has held senior IT executive positions throughout Latin Ameirca including more recently as Area General Manager for Latin America for SGI-Silicon Graphics. He has also worked as a General Manager for Novell, Platinum Technologies, PeopleSoft and J.D.Edwards in the region and as a director for Anderson Consulting (Accenture) and Dun & Bradstreet Software.
John Meaney (London, UK) John is responsible for leading LPI activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Darrell Flewell (Ontario, Canada) is a CMA with a wide background in senior level financial planning and accounting for enterprise companies and small businesses. Darrell is responsible for LPI's budget, contracts and financial, legal, and regulatory compliance processes.
Scott Lamberton (Ontario, Canada) has close to 20 years experience in communications for non-profit organizations, private business and the wider public sector. Scott is responsible for LPI's public relations, media and marketing communications.
Brooke Gresham (California, USA) brings to the position over 15 years experience in overall office management and an extensive background in high level channel support and customer service. Brooke has overall responsibility for exam fulfillment, PBT scoring, and candidate and affiliate support.
Medina Dupuis (Ontario, Canada) is manager of special projects at LPI. Medina also assists with payroll and accounts receivable/payable.
Susan Fleischer (California, USA) is responsible for marketing activities for LPI in North America. Susan also assists with certificate fufillment.
G. Matthew Rice (Ontario, Canada) has overall responsibility for all Product Development at LPI and IT services. Matthew is a seasoned Linux systems administrator and programmer and has been involved with LPI since 1999.
Dimitrios (Taki) Bogiatzoules (Scheuring, Germany) Taki is currently employed by Deutsche Telekom AG and holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and Operations (CCI). As a long-time Linux enthusiast he mastered each LPIC level when they were still in initial development phase, and thus he was one of the first holders of LPIC-2. Taki is a founding Board member of LPI-German and a long-time LPI volunteer.
