Next Generation IT: Linux Essentials and Certified Internet Web Professional

(Hannover, Germany and Tempe, AZ, USA: March 6, 2013) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's leading Linux certification organization and Certification Partners creators of the Certified Internet Web Professional (CIW) certification--one of the world's most popular vendor-neutral Web technology education programs, announced an innovative partnership initiative to deliver an entry-level technology certification program to address the workforce development needs of both employers and aspiring IT professionals. The program will offer a combined training program in both LPI's Linux Essentials "Certificate of Achievement" and either the CIW's Internet Business Associate (IBA) or Network Technology Associate (NTA) certifications. This combined training and accreditation program will be delivered through CIW's Certification Testing Centers.

Linux Essentials meets Computer Science Teachers Association K-12 standards

(Los Angeles, CA, USA: February 21, 2013) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization, announced that its Linux Essentials program which measures foundational knowledge in Linux and Open Source Software has met the requirements of the K-12 Computer Science Standards of the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA: http://www.csta.acm.org/). The CSTA has 41 chapters throughout North America and members in 126 countries worldwide.

LPI participates in CeBIT 2013 Poland Partner Events

(Sacramento, CA, USA: February 6, 2013)  The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization, announced its participation at CeBIT 2013, March 5-9, 2013 (Hannover, Germany). During the conference, LPI representatives will present on the subject of advancing IT workforce development in Linux and Open Source, specifically during the conference's activities for CeBIT's Partner Country of Poland. CeBIT has a 20+ year history as one of the world's largest conferences and trade shows for IT and telecommunications solutions and LPI has been a regular participant for several years.

LPI Certification Exams Exceed 350,000 Worldwide

LPI revises LPIC-2 and LPIC-3 certification programs

Linux Professional Institute Hosts Exam Labs at SCALE 11x

LPI Expands Training Partner Program in 2012

(Sacramento, USA: December 18, 2012) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization, announced that in 2012 they grew their training partner program to include 322 participating organizations (up more than 5% from just over 300 partners in 2011). Most significant was that LPI added seven new training organizations in North America in 2012.  LPI has training partners in over 50 countries around the world.
