{"id":40440,"date":"2026-10-07T23:26:18","date_gmt":"2026-10-08T03:26:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lpi.org\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=40440"},"modified":"2026-10-08T11:21:21","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T15:21:21","slug":"sfscon-26","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.lpi.org\/es\/event\/sfscon-26\/","title":{"rendered":"SFSCON 2026: Take LPI Exams for Free, Supported by NOI Techpark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is proud to participate in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfscon.it\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SFSCON 2026<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, one of Europe\u2019s most established annual conferences on free software, taking place November 13\u201314 in Bolzano, Italy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LPI will hold paper-based exams during the conference at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/noi.bz.it\/en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NOI Techpark<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. With the support of NOI Techpark, the exams are free for everyone who signs up. Seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>PBT Exam Sessions at SFSCON 2026<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two paper-based exam sessions will take place in the Auditorium (A2) at NOI Techpark on November 13. Each session is limited to 55 seats, providing 110 exam seats in total. Details about the exam times will be announced later.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conference and exam registration are separate. A free SFSCON ticket gives attendees access to the conference, while an exam seat must be booked separately. Conference registration is open through the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pretix.eu\/noi-digital\/sfscon26\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SFSCON ticket portal<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exam registration is now open, and the registration link is provided below.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Candidates can take the following LPI exams:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Linux Essentials, Web Development Essentials, Security Essentials, and Open Source Essentials.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Professional-level certification exams (LPIC-1, LPIC-2, LPIC-3, DevOps Tools Engineer, BSD Specialist)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Talk: Linux in Schools and Universities<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Werner Fischer, Transfer Manager at Thomas-Krenn.AG and a member of the LPI Board of Directors, will give a talk on how schools and universities can integrate Linux into their curricula.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More talks from the Education track are available on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfscon.it\/programs\/2026\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SFSCON 2026 program page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>About SFSCON<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SFSCON, the South Tyrol Free Software Conference, is an international event that brings together developers, decision-makers, public administrations, companies, and digital innovators from Europe and beyond. Held annually in Bolzano, South Tyrol, the conference focuses on software freedom, innovation, digital sovereignty, and sustainable development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SFSCON was founded in 2001 on the initiative of the Linux User Group Bozen-Bolzano-Bulsan (LUGBZ). Since 2005, it has been organized and promoted by NOI Techpark, South Tyrol\u2019s innovation and research district. The conference welcomes more than 1,000 attendees each year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>About NOI Techpark<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NOI Techpark is South Tyrol\u2019s innovation district, where companies, research institutes, and the university work together on sustainable development.
