In December Linux Professional Institute (LPI), together with the main IT vendors in Spain, signed an agreement with Fundaci\u00f3n Estatal (Fundae), the public national foundation for the support of IT vocational training. Fundae helps IT staff respond to new needs arising from the process of technological, digital, and productive change. It has developed a space<\/a>\u00a0where IT professionals can find free training courses, and training resources in digital literacy, offered by various companies and organizations.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Fundae is aware of the usefulness of making these courses available to all workers, as this would improve their employability. It is predicted that 3.2 million jobs will be created by 2030 through digitisation,\u00a0\u00bb Fundae explains on their website.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0We are delighted to support Fundae,\u00a0\u00bb says Henry Chalup, LPI\u2019s representative in Spain. \u00ab\u00a0It is the mission of Linux Professional Institute to promote the use of open source by elevating the people who work with it.\u00a0\u00bb The agreement now signed gives Spanish IT professionals free access to a range of courses and learning materials, which will help them advance their careers.<\/p>\n
