Held on October 20, 2026, as part of the EATO Partner Meeting, the two-hour event brought together LPI partners both on-site and online. Organized by OSC Open Source Certification GmbH in cooperation with Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the conference offered a great opportunity to catch up, exchange experiences, and explore new perspectives.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting kicked off with updates on LPI&#8217;s latest releases and an overview of marketing opportunities available to partners. A key part of the event was a presentation by Rafael Peregrino da Silva, Senior Manager, Global Partner Ecosystem Growth &amp; Sales Enablement at LPI, about the growing demand for digital sovereignty in Europe and the market opportunities it creates for Linux and open source training and education.<\/p>\n<p>But it wasn&#8217;t just about sharing news. An interactive session gave everyone the chance to exchange ideas with LPI, discuss training needs, and share their experiences with current market developments. The conversations were lively and inspiring, offering plenty of valuable insights and new perspectives.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting ended with a special moment: Franz Knipp from the <a href=\"https:\/\/hochschule-burgenland.at\/\">University of Applied Sciences Burgenland<\/a> received the Academic Partner Award 2025 in recognition of his dedication to helping young people develop their Linux skills. Reiner Brandt, Managing Director of <a href=\"https:\/\/oscert.eu\/\">OSC Open Source Certification GmbH<\/a>, presented him with the award on behalf of LPI and recognized his outstanding commitment to Linux and open-source education. In doing so, he makes an important contribution to building the skills that enable digital sovereignty.<\/p>\n<p>A big thank you to OSC for organizing the meeting and to all partners who joined us, shared their ideas, and contributed to such a productive exchange.
