Teach Linux for Free with the Cisco Networking Academy
The Cisco Networking Academy, the Network Development Group (NDG), and the Linux Professional Institute have partnered to make it easy for ICT instructors to teach Linux and prepare students for professional careers in IT. Qualified learning institutions can join the Cisco Networking Academy at no cost, to teach NDG Linux Essentials for free as an instructor-led course.
Aligned to LPI’s Linux Essentials Professional Development Certificate, this course provides students:
- Foundational knowledge of Linux and Open Source
- Solid Linux command line skills
- Readiness to pursue LPI professional certifications or complementary IT certifications
NDG Linux Essentials Course
The NDG Linux Essentials course, hosted in the Cisco Networking Academy™, is a great addition to any school’s ICT curriculum and complements introductory operating system courses in higher education institutions. Designed for a semester, all that is needed to offer this course are computers with modern browsers.
The course includes:
- A robust Learning Management System
- Instructor slides
- Virtual machine embedded in the course for command line practice
