LPI Supports OpenFest 2026 and Offers Exam Discounts

Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is proud to support OpenFest 2026, Bulgaria’s biggest conference dedicated to free culture, knowledge sharing, and free and open source software (FOSS).

Taking place November 7–8 at Interpred in Sofia, Bulgaria, OpenFest brings together IT professionals, business professionals, and open source enthusiasts to share ideas and discover new projects. Whether you work in IT, run a business, or explore open source as a hobby, OpenFest offers opportunities to connect with the community and learn from others.

To support the open source community in Bulgaria, LPI offers event attendees a 20% discount on its exams. The discount gives participants a more affordable way to validate their Linux and open source skills and take the next step in their careers.

Look for Dimitar Zahariev, an LPI Approved Trainer and long-time open source advocate in Bulgaria, to get the discount code and learn more about LPI certifications.

About OpenFest

First held in Sofia in 2003, OpenFest is an annual gathering for people who create, use, and share free and open source software, as well as those interested in free art and culture.

Organized by the Open Projects Foundation and supported by the whole free/open source community in Bulgaria, many partners, sponsors, and friends, the event promotes free and open source projects and provides a space to exchange ideas and share best practices. Some editions have taken place in several Bulgarian cities at once.

LPI has supported the event for several years and is pleased to continue this collaboration in 2026.

Join OpenFest in Sofia to exchange ideas, meet fellow enthusiasts, and discover new opportunities in Linux and open source.
