LPI and GFOSS Partner on Open Source in Greece

Toronto, 2025-10-06 — Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is pleased to announce it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Open Technologies Alliance (GFOSS) to collaborate on preparing learners in Greece for successful open-source careers through integrated curriculum and certification programs in Linux and Free and Open Source Software (FOSS).

Under the agreement, specialized courses and workshops will be developed, and certification programs will be implemented for schools and universities across Greece.

The MoU is initially set for four years, with the option to extend.

For Linux Professional Institute (LPI), this collaboration provides access to GFOSS’s network of institutions, creating opportunities to engage with students and educators. GFOSS will benefit from LPI’s global expertise in Linux and open-source education.

Together, LPI and GFOSS will promote awareness and adoption of open-source technologies in Greece, supporting the growth of FOSS across the public and private sectors.
