Thai KOSEN technical Colleges Fashion Curriculum Around LPI Learning Materials

Tokyo, Japan, 2026-03-26 — Linux Professional Institute (LPI) Japan Branch is pleased to announce that, starting in the 2026 academic year, Japanese-style technical colleges (Thai KOSEN) in the Kingdom of Thailand will adopt the English-language versions of LPI’s Learning Materials for the Security Essentials and Linux Essentials International certificates. These Learning Materials cover the fundamentals of IT security and Linux.

When promoting cybersecurity education at Thai polytechnic colleges, the tasks of developing foundational technical content from scratch and turning it into teaching materials places an extremely heavy burden on faculty members. Furthermore, in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity, keeping the content up-to-date and accurate has also been a challenge.

By adopting the globally acclaimed and well-established LPI English-language curriculum, we have created an environment that enables us to provide high-quality, globally recognized IT education while minimizing the burden on educators.

Students can download and print this course material directly from the web for study.

Security Essentials: Covers the absolutely essential elements that individuals and organizations must adhere to in IT security. It is intended for students learning the basics of security for the first time, as well as individuals who wish to acquire foundational skills in the secure use of IT.

Linux Essentials: Systematically lays out the fundamentals of Linux, which is the foundation of the open-source community.

These English-language learning materials are designed to help students acquire technical knowledge, supporting their learning in both digital and analog formats.

Using this curriculum, students will learn how to protect themselves in cyberspace. Furthermore, by earning LPI certification, they will be able to objectively demonstrate their knowledge and expertise to potential employers and clients.

It is expected that graduates of Thailand’s Technical Colleges will be immediately employable as security professionals, not only within Thailand but also at Japanese companies and in the global IT market.
