Free Learning Materials for DevOps Tools Engineer Certification, v2

Get ready for the new version 2 of the exam

We are excited to announce the release of Learning Materials for the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) DevOps Tools Engineer certification on our Learning platform along with the new version 2.0 of the exam. I’ll provide a brief overview here and warmly encourage anyone interested in DevOps and cloud native technologies to use these resources.

The 27 lessons contain the necessary knowledge in accordance with the official exam objectives in such a way that professional system administrators and software developers can build, refresh, or round out their knowledge in preparation for the exam. As in all LPI Learning Materials, each lesson has a standardized structure, which has been proven in practice both for self-study and in training courses: Detailed explanations of the respective technologies and tools are followed by two blocks of exercises that can be solved using only the information from the lesson (Guided Exercises) or with a little additional research by the candidates (Explorational Exercises).

We are delighted to be able to expand our offering with the DevOps Tools Engineer Learning Materials, providing a high-quality learning resource not only for exam candidates but for all professionals in this important IT field. Special thanks go to Uirá Ribeiro, Werner Heuser, and Andy Oram, who created this publication in the best spirit of open source.

The LPI Learning Materials are a key unique property of our certification program. Making knowledge accessible for everyone aligns with LPI’s mission to promote the use of open source by supporting the people who work with it. Everyone interested in learning or teaching DevOps tools and cloud native technologies is encouraged to use these materials, whether they pursue the certification or not.

In accordance with their license, the Learning Materials are available free of charge in English for non-commercial use. Translations into other languages are already in progress and will be published on an ongoing basis. An up-to-date overview of the status of translations of exams and Learning Materials can also be found on LPI Learning.
