Ob Sie neu bei Open Source sind oder wie viele von uns schon seit den Anfängen dabei, das LPI möchte Sie in unserer Gemeinschaft willkommen heißen.
Wir sehen uns als das Open-Source-Ethos in einem Zertifizierungsprogramm. Eine Gemeinschaft, die ihre Geschichte bis in die Anfänge von Linux zurückverfolgt.
Das LPI wurde im Oktober 1999 von der Linux-Community als internationale Non-Profit-Organisation gegründet und hat sich seitdem zu einem globalen Netzwerk von IT-Experten entwickelt.
Unser Ziel? Wirtschaftliche und kreative Möglichkeiten für alle zu schaffen, indem wir Open-Source-Wissen und Kompetenzzertifizierung allgemein zugänglich machen.
Es gibt einen kulturellen Wandel, der das Konzept des „Business as usual“ in Frage stellt. LPI und die Open-Source-Bewegung tragen dazu bei, indem sie den Status quo in Bezug auf die Eigentumsrechte von Unternehmen am Code in Frage stellen, eine Alternative für die Ausbildung und die Anerkennung von Fähigkeiten bieten, Entwicklungsländern und ihren Bürgern zum Erfolg verhelfen und die Zugangsbarrieren für Menschen und Unternehmen abbauen. Kurz gesagt, es geht darum, die wirtschaftlichen Spielregeln anzugleichen und den Zugang für alle zu ermöglichen.
