LPI Launches Learning Materials for Linux Essentials in Turkish

Ontario, Canada, 2026-04-28 — Linux Professional Institute (LPI) has released free Learning Materials for its Linux Essentials certificate in Turkish. With this release, Linux Essentials Learning Materials are now available in 14 languages.

”This translation project is a core part of our mission within the Turkish Linux community to encourage our local ecosystem by providing high-quality, localized educational content. Supporting LPI with the translation of the Learning Materials is a major milestone in our broader initiative to make global Linux standards accessible to every student and professional in Türkiye,” says Murat Boyar from the Turkish translation team.

“Having the LPI Linux Essentials Learning Materials in our native language is a massive opportunity, so I focused on using accurate and natural language to translate them into Turkish. I am excited to help empower more people to join the open source community,” adds translator Gökhan Gurbetoğlu.

The Linux Essentials certificate is a well-known credential for demonstrating foundational Linux skills to employers when applying for a new job or being considered for a promotion. It also serves as an ideal stepping stone toward the more advanced LPIC Professional Certification track for Linux Administrators.

LPI Learning Materials are free resources for teachers and students, developed to support exam preparation. They follow a clear, classroom-ready structure with a clear separation of explanations, exercises, and solutions, and are regularly updated to stay current. The content is based on the objectives of each exam in its current version, with each objective divided into one or more lessons depending on its scope and weight.
