LPI’s Security Essentials and Open Source Essentials Certifications Featured in the ISV Map

The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is pleased to announce that its Security Essentials and Open Source Essentials certifications have been included in the “ISV Map DSS-P ver. 2.0” published by the Skills Standards Users Association (SSUG), a Japanese nonprofit organization that promotes the adoption of IT and digital skills standards and supports IT workforce development.

Security Essentials helps learners build foundational knowledge of information security. Open Source Essentials covers the fundamental concepts of open source from a broad range of perspectives, including technology, legal considerations, and business.

Both certifications are designed for a wide range of learners, including not only IT professionals but also students and business professionals who want to develop foundational knowledge. Japanese-language learning materials are also available, enabling learners in Japan to study in their native language while preparing for internationally recognized certifications.

This inclusion represents an important step toward promoting knowledge of IT security and open source, as well as supporting the development of IT talent in Japan.

For more information about the two certifications and their inclusion in the ISV Map, please see the press release below.
