Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is proud to serve as Media Partner for S2N 2026, the heise conference on Storage, Server, Network.
S2N is the annual training and networking event for the people responsible for running efficient, robust IT infrastructure: system administrators, IT architects, data centre and IT managers, CTOs and CIOs. Known as storage2day until 2024, the conference is organised by iX, heise’s magazine for professional IT, together with dpunkt.verlag. The 2026 edition is the first to be held in Berlin.
Programme and Topics
The two conference days on 3 and 4 November cover the questions currently facing infrastructure teams: hardware shortages in RAM and storage, digital sovereignty and realistic cloud strategies, running large language models on owned hardware, and the obligations the EU AI Act places on IT operators. Technical sessions range across Ceph, Proxmox and OpenStack, software-defined networking, disaster recovery, backup strategies against ransomware, and pragmatic site reliability engineering.
On 2 November, the day before the conference, three full-day workshops are available and bookable independently of the conference programme: Proxmox backup and recovery, network analysis and troubleshooting with Wireshark, and multi-tenancy with Keycloak.
