LPI Partner Conference: Meet in Kassel, Germany

Training and Academic Partners of Linux Professional Institute (LPI) will meet in Kassel, Germany, for an LPI Partner Conference on October 20, 2026. LPI and its Channel Partner Open Source Certification GmbH (OSC) invite LPI Training and Academic Partners to the meeting to exchange experiences and discuss the further development of the LPI Partner Program.
LPI Updates and Partner Recognition
The partner conference will cover recent developments at LPI, future directions, partner recognition, and resources available to partners.
LPI representatives will share how the global nonprofit collaborates with academic institutions, companies across different industries, and governments, and how these partnerships can contribute to digital sovereignty in Europe. They will also discuss LPI’s marketing support for partners, including partner spotlights, welcome kits, social media support, and opportunities for visibility on the LPI website.
Björn Schönewald, Marketing Manager at the Linux Professional Institute, will provide details on the benefits of an LPI partnership and how partners can make use of available marketing opportunities, including joint campaigns, communication activities, and LPI branding.
Open Source and Digital Sovereignty
Rafael Peregrino da Silva, Senior Manager, Global Partner Ecosystem Growth & Sales Enablement at LPI, will lead a session titled “Open Source and Digital Sovereignty in Europe: Landscape, Opportunities and LPI’s Role.” The session will explore developments in digital sovereignty in Europe and the roles of open source, LPI, and its partners in this area.
Other topics for the conference include the upcoming LPI Linux Essentials 2.0 certificate as well as DevOps Tools Engineer and Security Essentials.
