LPI and Sakura Internet Collaborate on Linux Education

Linux Professional Institute (LPI) and Sakura Internet Co., Ltd. signed a basic agreement on June 16, 2025, for the purpose of developing the digital technology field and fostering DX human resources.

The background of this agreement is that there are issues raised by the education field, such as “students do not have enough opportunities to experience Linux” and “educational content is not systematic,” and both parties have reaffirmed the importance of Linux education for young people in response to these issues.

The two organizations have reaffirmed the importance of Linux education for young people, and will work together to promote the development of next-generation engineers and the revitalization of the open source community.

Specifically, LPI will provide Linux certification test materials and vouchers to Sakura Internet to support the company’s educational activities, and they also plan to jointly develop OSS-related events and marketing activities.

This initiative, which leverages the strengths of both parties, will be a major step toward strengthening human resource development and the OSS ecosystem in Japan and abroad.
