Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is proud to participate in SCALE 23x, 2026, North America’s largest community-run open source conference.
SCALE brings together the open source community for four days of sessions, workshops, and networking focused on open source, security, DevOps, cloud native technologies, and more.
Jon “maddog” Hall, Board Chair Emeritus of the Linux Professional Institute, will be presenting at the conference. A programmer since 1969 and a cornerstone of the free software movement since 1986, maddog brings decades of experience from his work with Bell Laboratories, Digital Equipment Corporation, VA Linux Systems, and numerous other technology pioneers. He continues to advocate for environmentally friendly computing in emerging markets through Project Cauã.
SCALE 23x features an impressive lineup of speakers from organizations including the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), Meta Platforms, County of Los Angeles, and Purdue University, alongside workshops, community activities, and specialized tracks.
