Redeeming Exam Voucher

Your voucher code is used to pay for your exam when you book your exam appointment through VUE’s website at https://www.vue.com/lpi

Exam vouchers have an expiry date and your exam needs to be taken before this date. Booking in advance is recommended.

After selecting ‘schedule your exam’, you will be asked to sign in to your existing VUE account or create a new one. You will need your LPI ID.

Make sure the name you use to create your Pearson VUE account matches exactly the name and email address you used when creating your LPI ID. Otherwise your exam results will not be associated with your LPI ID.

  • The name you enter must match your government issued picture identification that you plan on using to verify your identity when you take your exam.
  • When you’ve made your exam appointment, you will be taken to a checkout page in order to pay. By the total, select ‘Add Voucher’, a box pops up and you enter your voucher code.

Rescheduling Exam Appointments

LPI can’t assist with booking or rescheduling appointments, this can only be done by Pearson VUE. This can be done from your Pearson VUE profile https://home.pearsonvue.com/test-taker/FAQs/4-How-do-I-schedule,-reschedule-or-cancel-an-exam.aspx or by contacting VUE’s customer service department https://home.pearsonvue.com/Test-takers/Customer-service.aspx.

Linux Professional Institute’s REFUND POLICY

Exam vouchers have no cash value. LPI cannot provide a refund once you have redeemed your voucher. Your voucher is considered redeemed once you have used it to schedule your exam appointment time with Pearson VUE. If you do not provide Pearson VUE with adequate time to reschedule or cancel an exam appointment you will not be provided with a refund by LPI. Please make yourself familiar with Pearson VUE’s rescheduling and cancellation policies which are included below:

VUE Reschedule Policy

To reschedule your exam appointment and receive a full refund, you must notify Pearson VUE at least two business days before your appointment, during business hours.

VUE Cancellation Policy

To cancel your exam appointment and receive a full refund, you must notify Pearson VUE at least two business days before your appointment, during business hours. Otherwise, your exam fee is not refundable. Your exam fee is also not refundable if you do not arrive at the test center for your scheduled appointment.

VUE Admission Policy

Please arrive at the test center 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This will allow you enough time to complete the check-in procedures before beginning your exam. You will be required to show two (2) valid forms of personal identification. Both forms must contain your signature, must be current (not expired), and at least one form must contain your photo. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after your appointment time and are refused admission, the exam and delivery fees are not refundable.

You will not be allowed to take any personal items with you into the testing room. This includes all bags, books not authorized by the testing program, notes, cell phones, pagers, watches and wallets.
