Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is proud to participate as a Bronze Sponsor of LinuxFest Northwest 2026.

LinuxFest Northwest is celebrating its 26th year as a community-driven open source conference in the Pacific Northwest. The event brings together developers, system administrators, educators, and open source enthusiasts for three days of sessions, workshops, and networking.

Jon “maddog” Hall, Board Chair Emeritus of the Linux Professional Institute, will be presenting at the conference. A programmer since 1969 and a cornerstone of the free software movement since 1986, maddog brings decades of experience advocating for open source technologies and accessible computing worldwide.

Ted Matsumura, LPI’s champion for LinuxFest Northwest, will also be presenting. Ted may offer an additional session on Linux Essentials certification preparation for attendees interested in exploring open source career pathways.
